• Augmented Operation of a Robotic Arm

Description

Capgemini Engineering and Fujitsu are collaborating to build a PoC – “Augmented Operation of a Robotic Arm”, which runs on Fujitsu’s INTELLIEDGE and High Performance DDTL Appliances. The purpose of the system is to assist an Augmented Operator (with AR glasses) placed in front of a Robotic Arm to perform a certain task with the help of a remote VR user that will control a digital twin of the Robotic Arm in a collaborative. Additionally, a camera placed behind the robot identifies objects and, if the user commands, starts to follow a specific object (i.e. a tool, person, etc.). This is one example to repair and maintain a complex machinery (i.e. turbines, cooling or air filter systems) with the support of Artificial Intelligence.
